In the world of cocktails there is a debate whether international Mai Tai day is the 30th of June or 30th August - but we say why limit drinking delicious cocktails to just two days of the year? A classic Mai Tai is a favourite amongst the Torbay Gin team, so we thought we'd put own own twist on it!
Our Mai-tobo cocktail uses our African-spiced Matobo gin instead of the usual blend of aged and white rums to create a unique flavour. Matobo uses African black pepper, pink hibiscus and acacia alongside a number of other unique botanicals which fit perfectly into this cocktail.
To make yours at home...
Ingredients:
- 45ml Matobo Gin
- 15ml Cointreau
- 15ml Dark Rum
- 15ml Fresh Lime Juice
- 15ml Orgeat Syrup
Instructions:
- Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake.
- Strain over ice.
- Garnish with your squeezed lime.
- Enjoy!
